What is a Salsa Festival?

A Salsa Festival is a gathering of people from all around the world, that love and appreciate Salsa. It lasts from 2 days to over 1 week. Dancers, musicians, vendors, performers and instructors meet and share their love of Salsa with all the participants.

What is a Salsa Workshop?

During the festival participants are able to participate in Salsa classes. The workshops offered cover all levels from beginners to advanced dancers. The most famous instructors globally will be present to the Mandinga Salsafest teaching with their unique style.

How do I know what workshop I should take?

There are numerous workshops geared to all levels. Each participant is encouraged to choose any workshop they are interested in.

Do I have to be a salsa dancer to attend?

No. One of the reasons that we produce this event is to expose people that are not familiar with Salsa to a new form of music and dance and join us in the future to the unique Salsa experience.

Do I need a partner to participate?

You don’t need a partner at all. In fact, very few of the classes keep the same partner, and people come to dance and meet different people from all over. Most instructors rotate partners throughout the class, which gives you a chance to experience different leads/follows.

What do you wear to a Salsa congress?

For the workshops dress comfortably. We recommend a light shirt, and light sweatpants, cotton socks and dance shoes. You will be very active and moving around.

Am I able to pay for individual workshops?

No. You can only buy a Day Pass of workshops. You can buy a whole day of workshops then choose to only take certain ones.

Do I need to stay for the entire workshop once it is in progress?

It is not necessary.
